Need a new car?

Another stop last weekend was at the
Owl’s Head Transportation Museum
which came highly recommended by the locals.
We were not disappointed.

This museum “exhibits and operates a large collection of pioneer-era aircraft, antique automobiles, engines, bicycles, carriages and motorcycles.”

Currently they have a special exhibit of MGs  and BMWs
which may be of interest to certain
members of the extended Cobblestone family.

Not only do almost of of the specimens still work,
you can actually takes rides in them!

No pop-up nav system visible here.  ;)

And if you are so inclined, you may
purchase select vehicles.

This photo they had above
the bicycle exhibit has me stymied.
Sidesaddle?!!!
How does that work!

  1. I love going to antique auto shows so this museum exhibit seems like a fun outing to me. The car in the second photo looks so very much like my 1936 Mercedes 500K roadster. I know it's an MG but the style is much the same. Have a fun weekend. Hugs

    1. You had a 1936 car? How fun is that! Like I said, they have some for sale too. So if you get a hankerin' come out and out and shop. :)

  2. LOL, how DO you ride a bicycle sidesaddle?
Love the photos of the old cars, especially the cute little red one in the third photo. What kind of car is that?

    1. That tiny red car is a BMW. Hardly recognizable ~ well, to someone like me. Sure looks like it would be fun to zip around in though, doesn't it?
