most enthusiastic collectors.  

She has had a Winter Park created 

by artist Gerald Lusk for all of her 

Cobblestone Circle mice.  

I must say I could not have 

envisioned anything more perfect.

More updates from collectors

You all know by now that I love to see where my little friends go when they leave my home.   Today I have more pics to share with you from my collectors.   I think you'll agree these creations appear to be quite happy in their new surroundings.

When last we saw this tiny gal she was holding 

her daffodil looking for a dry place to live.  

She has found a lovely glass house full of flowers.

What lovely setting!

And each of these bunnies have found loads of 

new friends to keep them company.

I have a few more pics from a collector to share with you today.  

I just love seeing where my little friends wind up living 

and I'm sure you will agree these are just darling settings.

You may recall the Faye ad Arthur Iversham had spent 

the holiday season in a beautiful wreath, 

but now they have their very own shadow box 

in which to carol their hearts away.  

I love this so much and it really fits in well with how 

I see the village of of Cobblestone Circle. 

The black rod iron fence is a perfect touch!

This collector has also created a charming front porch 

for some of the trick-or-treating mice.

Now of course I'm dreaming of having similar 

settings for some of the mice that are with me.  

Yes, there are one or two I could not 

bring myself to part with.  

I shall have to speak with 

Mr. Cobblestone about more 

construction projects for his list.

I intended for the upcoming online show at 

BearHugs4u on March 8-10 so there may be 

someone new available on my website later this week.

Hello friends!  I apologize for being away from my blog for so long, but as stated in the title, I’ve been quite busy sewing, needle felting and yes, taking an occasional break for a bike ride with Mr. Cobblestone ~ and enjoying our Autumn landscapes.

Our yard is showing signs of white! 

No, not my beloved snow, no yet, but we do have  a white clematis blooming now

 

and my irises too!

I must mention the lovely ride we took earlier this week.  The longest one so far, for me.  We went from our home all the way down to the Lake Michigan lake front ~ a distance of 30 miles.  And it was a delightful day ~ all the trees were in their brilliant Autumn splendor.

As for sewing, I’m afraid I have nothing to show you today.  All the items I am currently working on are destined for the Holiday Bazaar Online show Nov 5 and 6 ~ and you know how it goes with shows ~ no previews before the show begins.  Though I do believe I will be able to give you a tease starting Saturday Oct 15th.  I’ll post it here if permitted.  I can tell you there will be caroling bears and mice, an ice skating bear, a bear with a baby doll and a few potbelly Santa mice.   

Before I go I do have two more photos to share with you which I received from one of my collectors.  It is always such fun to see what my mice have been up to since they’ve left my home.

A bit of this, a bit of that . . .

This week I've dabbled in the occupations of stone mason and cobbler ~ as in shoes, not peach.  These endeavors have resulted in three mice and two bears that are now available on my website.

The first set is Jack and Jill for my Cobblestone Tails series.

Their well started out as a wooden hexagon box ~ but after a few hours with stones and gorilla glue it is now a lovely well for them.  As the gorilla glue cures, it foams and expands and looks exactly like mortar between the stones.  I used epoxy for the water in the bucket. 

The second item was inspired by a fairy slipper exchange that has been going on on a few of the blogs I follow.  I didn't partake in the swap (this time) but can see this easily becoming a seasonal item for me ~ I am especially exited to try one for Winter!

Lastly ~ YES!  I have finally completed the bear with the baby carriage.  She was quite the challenge and looks completely different from what I had originally in mind. 
I'll save that design for another bear.

I want to remind you to remember to not forget . . .

Hello friends!

There are so many things to talk about today.  First, I need to remind you that this oppressive Summer heat and humidity will not last forever.  On our bike ride the other night, Mr. Cobblestone and I saw them!  We saw leaves that are starting to change color!  I watch for these as most people watch for the first signs of Spring ~ and I can tell you now ~ Fall is a comin'! 
As soon as I get my fresh corn from the farmer down the way, Jack Frost has my permission to get to work.

Secondly, the sale at Cobblestone Creations is ending Sunday night, July 31st. 
All the remaining items are now on eBay.
The Buy-It-Now prices are the same as are on the Shop page of my website, but the starting bids are much lower ~ up to 55% off the original prices ~ and there's no reserve on any of them.

A friend of mine, very talented artist, Patrick Gill, has started a new Halloween Site called EVERY WITCH WAY LANE.  It is in its early stages, but is a fantastic place to find all sorts of Halloween Art from well known artists.  There is a link in my sidebar and when I have some little witch mice and trick-or-treaters, they will be available there.

Lastly, I have some pics of the new scene from my buyer's mice display. 
This one is Fergus Peabody, the train engineer from Cobblestone Circle ~ and now he's got a steam engine! 
Gerald Lusk, the artist, is really blowing my mind with these creations.
I'm looking forward to seeing who's next!

I am gobsmacked! But don't worry ~ that's a good thing.

Gobsmacked? Yeah, it was a new word for me too ~ guess the good Sisters at Mon Valley Catholic didn't do such a good job on my vocabulary after all.  But thanks to the international flair that enters our lives via online friends, I can say in true British slang that I am completely astounded and amazed by what I found in my inbox yesterday afternoon.

Those of you who follow the activates in Cobblestone Circle will no doubt remember Rolf Silke, the bartender at The Burgundy Turtle Pub.

He quickly found a new home and prompted a commission

for a bar customer, namely one Alastair Smythe.

One of the requirements was for Alastair to be able to place his foot on a bar rail . . . because . . . there is now an actual bar!

The detail is amazing! Look at those tiny beer taps!!!

The gal who has Rolf and Alastair (and quite a few other citizens) has commissioned artist Gerald Lusk to create a shadow box of sorts that will feature changeable setting for various mice from Cobblestone Circle!

I cannot tell you how much this touches my heart to see my little friends in 'homes' of their own.  I hope I continue to get updates of this project and will share them here as I do.

Homecoming

Every once in a while I am privileged to receive a peek into the lives of my little mouse friends after they leave me. Recently I was able to catch up with the Van Hornes of Cobblestone Circle ~ Dottie and her husband, the Mayor, Charles.

As some of you may remember, when last seen, Dottie was bundled in her Winter coat out for a day of shopping ~ and Charles was celebrating the new train route agreement last Summer. In order to display them together my customer came up with this solution:





Charles is greeting Dottie at the door as she returns home!


I understand this charming doorway was made especially for the Van Hornes ~ look at the details! They've even got a wreath on the door and a darling little door mat! Well done indeed and thanks for sharing!!!
